Hotel at Stuttgart Airport
For a project developer, Gaus & Knödler Architekten planned a hotel in the two-star-plus segment in Bernhausen at the Stuttgart Airport.
The project developer was concerned with the future use of a plot in the immediate vicinity of the Airport of Stuttgart. One option was to build a hotel for travellers. Gaus & Knödler Architekten were commissioned to analyse the given site and to submit a proposal for the establishment of a hotel.
A central requirement of this was the room rate per night, which is the base for calculating the investment volume and thus indirectly the space program, choice of materials and equipment. The feasibility study and the derived architectural design provided for a hotel in the two-star plus segment with a total of 220 beds.
The design took into account the international character due to the airport. The concept took on current trends towards simple yet sophisticated design solutions and bundled them to a contemporary and appealing architecture for the target group in the two-star plus segment.
